CAPABILITIES · STAINLESS STEEL JOINTS
Cracking Controlled.
Uptime Protected.
Custom-designed stainless steel joint assemblies embedded into durable resinous floors for heavy traffic and live operations.
Reinforced Joint Control
Expansion and control joints take concentrated abuse. Slab movement, heavy wheels, impact, washdown, and repeated repairs can break down joint edges and leave a floor that never stays level.
Once the edges begin to fail, the joint becomes an operating problem. Uneven transitions create trip hazards, strike carts and forklift wheels, damage loads, and contribute to dropped product. Repeated patching adds maintenance without correcting the weak transition.
These facilities do not stop operating so a joint can be rebuilt. Access, traffic routing, cure windows, sanitation, and return-to-service requirements have to be planned before work begins.
Control the movement. Protect the edges. Keep traffic moving.
The Solution
Tufco builds custom reinforced stainless steel joint assemblies around the opening, movement requirement, traffic pattern, and surrounding floor. The assembly is anchored into the prepared slab and embedded within the resinous rebuild so the finished transition is flush, reinforced, and serviceable.
- Custom-designed geometry. Joint dimensions, movement criteria, edge condition, load path, and anchorage are reviewed before fabrication.
- Stainless steel construction. The joint is built for wet, corrosive, and frequently cleaned industrial spaces; the required stainless grade must match the actual exposure.
- Embedded into the floor. The resinous surface is installed monolithically up to and around the reinforced assembly while preserving the joint’s designed movement.
- Chemical- and abrasion-resistant options. The surrounding resin system is selected for the chemicals, cleaning regime, rack loads, carts, and forklift traffic at the location.
- Low-odor and low-VOC options. Formulations can be specified for work in occupied buildings, subject to site conditions and system selection.
- Phased execution. Night and weekend mobilizations keep traffic moving through planned work zones while the facility stays live.
Installation stays accountable. Tufco uses its own W-2 crews—no subcontractors—and backs qualifying installed systems with a 5-year materials-and-workmanship warranty.
5 YEAR WARRANTY
Installed exclusively by Tufco employees. No subcontractors. Ever.
Every qualifying installation is backed by a 5-year warranty on both materials and workmanship. System terms are confirmed during specification.
